Leaked Droid RAZR/Maxx ICS build includes new UI and webtop softwareBy
Motorola’s rollout of Android Ice Cream Sandwich can’t be too far off, as the manufacturer has recently sent emails to the Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx owners in their feedback community with invitations to participate in bug testing. Naturally, this resulted in a ROM being leaked at DroidRzr.com, but pulled shortly after conventional flashing methods proved ineffective.
Now the ROM has successfully been flashed and two of the new features reported are webtop software and a customized UI. It’s nice to see that Motorola still finds the webtop niche worth pursuing because even though it may be slightly ahead of its time, it’s a very possible future. As far as the custom UI goes, Motorola have done some really neat ones in the past, so it’s going to be interesting to see what they do with Android Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s not yet clear when the update is going to roll out, but it’s rumored to be some time next week.
