iPhone 5/Siri self-destruct feature concept video.

iPhone 5 Siri self destruct

Aatma Studios, the creators of NFC and the new iPad’s screen, have released a concept video of a feature that may or may not make it to the iPhone 5 or somewhere further down the line.  For the most paranoid, an upgrade to Siri adds an extreme security feature.

Should your iPhone fall into the wrong hands and the right password not be entered, Siri makes the iPhone back up all the data to iTunes and commit suicide by cracking the screen. This may be helpful for anyone carrying extremely sensitive data, but for the averege user this will do more harm than good, despite the feature being optional. This is all theory at this point, so we may never see this in action.
