HP Announces sexy 11.6 inch Windows 8 tablet with keyboard dock
By
With its Metro UI, Windows 8 looks like a real change from what we’re used to. HP looks to take advantage by introducing a Windows 8 tablet of its own.
With its 11.6 inch IPS LCD display running a 1366×768 resolution, the HP Envy X2 is the largest tablet we know about. It will come equipped with an Intel Clover CPU and 32 to 64GB of storage. The keyboard dock will function the same way as it does on the Asus Transformer, with the keyboard running out of power before the actual tablet. The planned release date is during the Holiday season.
HP is no stranger to tablets. Its last tablet was the Touchpad, running some impressive (for its time) hardware and the pretty but relatively useless WebOS. It didn’t do too well initially, but sold out practically overnight after a severe price drop and the Cyanogenmod team having their way with it
