Golden iPad 3 auctioned off for charity

It’s amazing how far some are willing to go to flaunt their wealth. If getting the latest iPad isn’t enough to make you feel like a big shot, how about one covered in 24ct gold and still working? It was unveiled by gadget outfitters Gold and Co. not long after the release of the third installment of Apple’s tablet. It made its debut in the United Arab Emirates, where it was auctioned off for charity. Future units will carry the price tag of $5500. Gold and Co. also has golden iPhones 4Ses for $4350 and BlackBerry 9900s for $2450.
